city that one can qualify cordial and friendly. The Belgians are incomparably the friendliest people that I ever met.
Brussels is a unique city with centenary homes in worked wood coupled with new building.
Brussels wasn’t always the Belgian capital, it belonged formerly to France until Napoleon’s defeat in Waterloo, after which it belonged to the Netherlands until becoming independent.

The city acts as European capital with the European Union Council the European Commission, the European Parliament and finally the Council of the Communes and areas of Europe.

You can see the Brussels’s Grande-Place which since 1998 is registered on the list of the world inheritance of UNESCO. On the Grand-Place stands the famous town hall whose the tower isn’t completely in the middle of the building (the legend says that the architect committed suicide by jumping from the top of the tower because once he realized the mistake).

You can also see the House of the King in a neo-gothic style which shelters now the City’s Museum of the inheritance of Brussels. You might also visit “the Pigeon”, which sheltered Victor Hugo in XIXème Siécle.

But there isn’t just the Grand Place to visit in this marvellous city. For those which as me like history, Brussels is an interesting city. Egmont palace, which was built in XVI century and which has a sample of each new architectural style and frontage since. Now it shelters the OTAN offices. Unfortunately you can’t visit it but one can visit its garden, which is very beautiful.
Of course I highly advise you to visit the wonderful palace of Arts a sumptuous museum devoted to art in general - music, visual arts, theatre, dance, literature, cinema, architecture -, a place to not miss

You might want to stay close to the palace of arts by staying at the, a great hotel.
This is Brussels, a magic, warm and welcoming city.
If you plan to go there I advice you to go on
