Aix en Provence

Transport by busTransport by train

Aix en Provence is a small charming city….in Provence of course.

The city is located in the south of France a few km from the Mediterranean. The weather is rather hot there.
The city is very old and dating from the Roman Empire and in that age it was in one of the principal commercial road.
In regard to the monuments one can visit Granet museum (painting museum), also one can see the Saint-Saver Cathedral with its 20m church tower as well as the Saint-Saver cloister. The city gives a warm welcome; the place that absolutely has to be seen is the Albertas Place with its romantic fountain (especially in the evening).

If you plan to stay in Aix en Provence I would recommend the Citadines Aix Jas de Bouffan hotel. http://www.apartotels.com/ApartmentInfo.asp?Code=6892
