Cannet is a city not too far from my home, and I often visit. It’s really what one can call a typical little town.

The city is located at approximately one hour’s walk from the Mediterranean.

Even if Cannet is a very small town of 43.000 inhabitants it is very pleasant to visit if only for its environment.
Le Cannet is a very old city which had been colonized by the Romans. in medieval times many monks cultivated the lands.

You should see the Towers of Danys which dates from the year 1450, also called the tower of the brigands, you can see also the Calvys Towers which dates from the year 1441.
Also the Vault Saint Bernardin which is since 1999 an exhibition place.

So, this is an approximation of le Cannet, a charming small provencale city, and if you want to go there, I advise you the hotel Chateau Residence des artistes

Berlin

Berlin is a sensational city with a big history. The town of Berlin was founded in the 13th century, but there are very few little vestiges from the old city partly because of the Second World War bombardments.
There are lots of things to see in Berlin, even if the majority of the buildings don’t exceed the XVIII century.

Of course, what has to be seen is the famous Brandebourg Door dating from the end of the XVIII century in a neo-classic style. Its one of the largest symbol of Berlin and can be seen on the German coins. The door sustained a lot of damage during the war and only since October 3 2002 it has been entirely renovated.
Also to be seen is the famous Reichstag palace. It was built in the XIXth century. After a fire in the beginning of the Second World War, it was restored within the German federal republic, then after the unification the contemporary style cupola was set up. You can visit the cupola which is a popular tourist attraction.

But one can also see the “new Berlin” with for example the Sony-Center; a gigantic center surmounted by a colossal cupola where one can see all the products from Sony.
There are also numerous museum like for example the Jewish Museum which recalls 2000 history of German Jews.
This is Berlin, a city that has to be seen. If you plan to go there I advise you stay at the Citadines Berlin Olivaer Platz, which is very nice.

Also not to miss, the Bordeaux beaux arts museum, from the beginning of the XIXth centuries, devoted completely to paintings.
Also one can visit place of the Quinconces, the biggest place in Europe, (126 000 m ²), right in the heart of Bordeaux. It includes splendid fountains and enormous columns.
