Grenoble
Grenoble is one of the most beautiful cities than I have seen; it is a medium sized city with an average one hundred thousand inhabitants and it is surrounded by mountains where you can see splendid sunsets.
The city is located in the Isére district: it is a warm city in the center of France. It’s at the same time an urban city and a country city. Even though it is a small city it has an airport. The town hosted the Olympic games in 1967 and since the nineties the city has a business district called Europol (it is called like this owing to its European activity. Moreover, since 2005, the town has got a minalogic pole (Micro Nanotechnologies and Grenoble-Isère Competitiveness software). Its activity consists to create new mini technology generation.
Grenoble is a very old city of more than 2040 years. First of all it was called Cularo, then in medieval age it was called Saint-Laurent-du-Lac, Grelibre during the revolution, and Grenoble with Napoleon Bonaparte.
The city is crossed by big Boulevards, all served by the Grenoble΄s Tramway.
Among the places to visit one can find the Bastille Castle,
built in the XVI century and overlooking Grenoble from its 260m viewpoint.
The town has also many museums such as the Grenoble΄s museum (fine
art), the Dauphine’s museum, St Laurent archaeological museum, the
resistance and deportation museum of Isere, or the natural history museum.
So, Grenoble is one of the most pleasant cities that I have seen, with a dynamic spirit and a European activity. If you want to go to Grenoble I advise you the Citadines Grenobles
